Thank you to everyone who supported the project! We finished taking donations and are now working with the Red Cross to contact and share what came in with those impacted by the fire.
The Holland Free Methodist Church is working in cooperation with the local Red Cross, area churches, Springfield Local Schools, and local businesses to support those affected by the recent fire at Lake of the Woods Apartments.
Donation Information:
- Holland Free Methodist will be receiving donations on Wednesday, March 27, and Thursday, March 28, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Clothing, hygiene items, and smaller household items can be brought to the church during the designated hours. (All clothing will be passed on to the local Goodwill. The Red Cross will provide vouchers for the Goodwill to individuals effected by the fire in proportion to the amount of clothing donated through this drive.)
- It is recommended that monetary donations be made online with the American Red Cross.
- Donations for the Springfield Fire Department’s Harry S. Patton Scholarship fund can also be made during drop-off times.
- Any donations that cannot be used to help those immediately effected by the fire will be shared with others in need throughout the community.
We are proud to be part of such a great community! Thank you to everyone for helping out.
